Basic Information About Stump Grinding
- We have the proper equipment to do both large and small jobs. Front and back yards and we guarantee our work.
- We generally grind around 12 inches below ground level but can grind up to 25 inches below ground level.
- We can get our machines through a 36" gate.
- All equipment is landscape friendly.
- Stump grinding is fast and effective for a minimal cost.
- We give tentative estimates over the telephone and will give the actual price when we come out to the site, at that time we will perform the work if agreement is made.
When having a stump removed there are things to consider
Utilities:
Is the area free of underground utilities? If the work site is in an area that has underground power, cable, TV, phone, communication or gas lines then the area should be blue staked. We will make the necessary arrangements at no cost. There is a 48 hour waiting period before work can begin from the time the arrangements are made (2 full working days).
Preparation:
Is the work area clear of objects such as: patio furniture, debris, rocks etc...
It is better if the grass isn't over watered the day of the service. Not often but in very wet grass the machinery will sink a little.
It is always appreciated when doggy doo doo is cleaned up prior to working.
Clean Up:
When you have a stump ground out you end up with mulch. Depending on the size and type of stump depends on how much mulch you will have. Smaller stumps don't produce much mulch but large stumps can produce a significant amount of mulch.
We don't haul away the mulch unless we are hired to do so but we do back fill the mulch into the hole where the stump used to be. We rake and clean up the work site and leave it looking nice.
Things You Should Know
Not very often but occasionally we will damage an irrigation pipe (sprinkler pipe) or outdoor lighting wire. If pipes or wires are damaged and the damage was out of our control you will be responsible for the repairs.
If we damage a sprinkler head or other objects by accident or neglect that is above ground level we will make the repairs.

Payment is due when the work is completed unless terms have been made.
